3rd – 9th October:  Sicily, Egadi Islands, Aeolian Islands
3rd - 4th October: Guests embark at Terrasini, Sicily. Spend the sunny afternoon in a sheltered bay at Capo San Vito for water sports, swimming, and lunch. By evening weather turned from usual cloudless, sunny summer days to temperamental winter weather. Head as far from weather as we can along the Isole Egadi, to a relatively sheltered bay on Isole Favignana where we spend the following day and wait for weather to pass. Guests taken ashore by tender for walking and exploring.
5th October: Spend the day again at Capo San Vito where the guests take a picnic lunch ashore and those unsettled by the weather appreciate some solid ground for a few hours!
6th October: Overnight to Vulcano. Anchor and guests go ashore for exploring afternoon on quad bikes and lunch at a recommended restaurant.
7th October: Anchor at Lipari. Most guests spend day exploring ashore in between long meals and water sports sessions.
8th October: Anchor off Cefalu. Guests have a great time exploring (it’s an incredible looking place) then take them on a mini tour on the way back to show them some sights we’d read about in the guide book, a little along the coast. Back for watersports and leisurely lunch then on to Mondello Bay by evening.
9th October: 505s World Championship day- all boats have to sail past us to get to their race course- fantastic but even more spectacular when they return with spinnakers in the afternoon. Also windsurfing and other jet skiers etc.. A fantastic sheltered bay with plenty going on yet so much space at this time of year that it just feels like a great atmosphere.
Guests disembark late afternoon after lunch and one last swim.

10th October: Osprey’s return journey to Malta begins.

The average day seemed to consist of a long, lazy breakfast with swimming before for some guests, then water sports or an amble ashore. By 3pm at the latest guests would usually be sitting down to a long lunch, often on route to another anchorage, or once arrived at one. An afternoon session of water sports or tender outings was usual, or cruising on to another location, then sometimes an evening ashore for drinks and a stroll before a long evening meal.

Any day time passages would be broken up by swim stops; anchoring on random rocks or carefully selected anchorages of beauty (often positioned for maximum sun set appreciation if anchoring late afternoon).
