Philip Sefton, Captain
British
Phil has been a professional sailor for 25 years. He has an MCA 3000 tonnes licence and more than 100,000 miles at sea. Phil has sailed many famous sailing boats and is a specialist in wooden yachts such as Osprey. He is married, lives in France and has three children - a daughter named Grace, 5 years old and two teenage boys named Guy and Hal who live in Australia.
Tim Porter, Chief Engineer
British
Tim has spent the last 23 years in the Royal Navy Submarine Service. Leaving as a fully qualified, Leading Operator Mechanic. Tim brings with him to Osprey a great wealth of knowledge along with a fine sense of humour. Tim enjoys motorcycle restoration, travelling, reading and all forms of socialising.
Marijke Manning, Mate
British
Marijke was brought up in Wales where she spent much of her childhood on or around the water at her family boat yard. Marijke is well educated with Yacht Master Ocean qualification, assorted engineering tickets, first aid, and ships security. Marijke is very passionate about classic yachts and in the couple of years since beginning her nautical career she has been fortunate to work on a selection of beautiful yachts, cruising between the Caribbean, Bahamas, Florida, and now, the Mediterranean.
James Mason, Chef
British
Classically trained chef James has vast culinary experience from many five star restaurants throughout London, Wales and Spain including the Hilton Chain and Wheeler St James London. You are assured of a varied mix of palate pleasing dishes with James onboard. James also enjoys Travelling, fishing and motor bikes.
Shelly Leeming, Chief Stewardess
New Zealander
Shelly started her career within the hospitality industry with a certificate in Hospitality. She followed this up with practical experience in 5 star establishments in New Zealand. Shelly has a nautical background so it was inevitable that she should gravitate towards yachts. With 6 years experience aboard both new and classic super yachts. Shelly will do her upmost to ensure you have a very memorable holiday. Shelly also enjoys travelling, fishing and water sports.
Lee Mayer, Deckhand
New Zealander
Lee comes to us well educated with a great “Give it a Go” attitude to life. He has a wide range of experience from Flotilla Skipper based in Greece for Sailing Holidays, Property Management to being a Restaurant supervisor. Lee is a polite and enthusiastic young man who enjoys Rowing, Rugby, Water sports and is a keen fisherman.
Tara Masefield, Stewardess
New Zealander
Tara has a background in hospitality and has also enjoyed many weekends on yachts in New Zealand. Tara has gained experience working on various yachts as temporary crew. She has a love for most sporting activities and has her PADI Diving Certificate. Although new to yachting Tara is keen, hard working, personable, with a great sense of humour.
